It is never too late for a new beginning

road, start, beginning

A successful entrepreneur shares his story of finding his ideal career path after several wrong turns. Read the story to know how career counseling helped him in his triumph.

Former Confident self

From a very young age, I found myself to be a very confident and presentable person. I could communicate things better when compared to others of my age and was also someone who was trusted with every responsibility. Given this, I never had any doubt about my career or future prospects. I felt like I could pull off any task with the belief residing in me.

Taking wrong turns

wrong way, sign, road

This very virtue of mine though, made me overlook my career in reality. The belief that I can be vested with anything, made me choose a career that had nothing to do with my skill set. I completed my graduation as an engineer, got a decent job with satisfactory pay. Everybody thought I was well set in my career, but little did they know about how I felt.

Realizing the mistake

My job had nothing to do with my interests or the skills I possessed. I imagined myself presenting views and projects and selling good ideas with conviction. But presently everything I was doing was dull and irrelevant for me. Soon the shifts started changing and the workload Neither did I have comfort nor did I do anything that I was interested in. Eventually, I lost interest in everything I loved as I was completely consumed by my job. Nothing interested me. Several times I felt like changing my job but who would employ me in some other field? I felt like it was too late to start new in the field of my interest. Thus I found myself in a trap with no escape.

Facing the muddle

Now neither did I have comfort nor did I do anything that I was interested in. Eventually, I lost interest in everything I loved as I was completely consumed by my job. Nothing interested me. Several times I felt like changing my job but who would employ me in some other field? I felt like it was too late to start new in the field of my interest. Thus I found myself in a trap with no escape.

Finding the solution

connect, connection, cooperation

Seeing me aloof from everything, my mother insisted on seeing a counselor. Initially, I refrained from doing so. It was very late for me to start fresh I felt. But eventually, I too realized that things had started falling apart and I could do nothing about it.

Introduction to Z-Edge

We started searching for the best counseling center in Nagpur and Z edge was the one frequent name that popped up. We took an appointment the next day and it was made readily available without any hassle. I wasn’t very outspoken with Renu ma’am but eventually, I knew she could give me the motivation and clarity that I needed.

On the path of self-restoration

raise, challenge, landscape

Post three sessions, I was on my path of self-restoration. Renu ma’am made me believe in my skills again. Not only did she motivate me but also made me aware of various careers that I could still choose. She made me realize that it is never too late if you believe in your strengths and have the will to hustle. Not just did she helped me set a new path for an ideal career but also instilled in me the belief that I had everything in me to achieve success throughout.

 Taking new step

stairs, gradually, feet

With that very lesson, I moved forward with my beliefs and never looked back. Today I am a Business Development Executive in one of the leading firms of India and also run a separate consultancy of my own. All of this would never be possible without the guidance that I got through career counseling. It made me believe that, if you have the will to strive, it is never too late for a new beginning.

I am still thankful for residing my trust in Renu ma’am and Z edge and shall always recommend counseling to people having any problems in their life which require clarity. It has been years since I consulted Renu ma’am but the lessons I learned are still a part of me today.
