Every journey is different, and so are the challenges that come with it. Our services are designed to support you through moments of uncertainty, growth, and change, offering thoughtful guidance tailored to your unique needs.
Do you ever think about the old version of yourself? Do you ever miss that version of yours? Of how
it was back then for you to be YOU.
Before this career path started, or before you got married, or before starting a family—were you not
a bit different? Didn’t you have more time for yourself? Yes, you did.
You were younger than today, you had the luxury to prioritize your needs. With age, came more
responsibilities and the older version of you started to experience a slow death. But it is never
too late to revive your old version and rekindle the relationship with your younger self. Yes, you
read it right. It’s time for you to pick up things where you left off. All of us had some hobbies, a
passion or something that excited us more than everything! There was a time in our life when we
decided to make a career out of our hobbies, isn’t it?
Some people made it happen, some people took that up but failed just because of unfavourable
situations, and some just forgot about their passion and talent. They let their dreams vanish while
shaping their life. Who’s to blame? None of us did it deliberately, life just happened.
Sit with yourself one day and think of all the things that you loved to do. Be it in your childhood,
be it while you were growing up and even after.
Remember the painting set that you thought you’d buy after school to make your own paintings, the
artwork that was left in between, the half-woven sweater you were gonna make for someone, that old
guitar which you got on your birthday, that still must sitting somewhere on the dusty loft, or that
cricket kit for which you saved your pocket money but couldn’t buy ever, the passion with which you
have sung in your bathrooms imagining it to be your own concert, or the dance you did in front of
the mirror, knowing that you are good at it, those poems you wrote in a diary but never made it
anywhere, remember?
Where are those guts once we all had, where are those dreams we had while we were not sleeping?
There are there, still alive, catching slow breaths underneath the responsibilities of life, hoping
to get the air they deserve.
Meaning, it is time you get back to those things, and start over from where you left off. Easier
said? Well, maybe. But, is it too late? No and NEVER.
Today, we have achieved so many things in life, we landed up better than we ever thought. But still,
there are untold stories of you, unpatched pieces of you, and undiscovered versions of you that
still exist. Trust yourself again and do what it takes to start over with your hobbies.
Be it anything as small as reading a book that you left halfway, be it your will to cook that
particular cuisine you thought you’d excel at, be it a yoga class or gym that you couldn’t continue
because you had a child to look after to, be it a dance class that you didn’t pursue further because
your family asked you to stop, those swimming lessons that were left halfway because you had to move
out to another city, be it anything that still ignites the passion in you.
Start over, narrate your unheard stories to your family, reconnect with your hobbies, make time for
yourself, and THIS TIME make it happen!
The luxury of being yourself is not for everyone. Most people got involved in their families and
careers so much so that they forgot that they should live for themselves. Some are guilty to give
themselves priority over their spouses, kids and careers. Ditch that guilt! You deserve to meet the
real version of yourself.
The luxury of being yourself is above every other feeling in this world. To give importance to
things you like, to make yourself happy on days when no one cares, and to do what it needs to keep
your mental peace is sheer luxury. Embrace that luxury because it is the only fuel that will let you
live a self-sufficient life.
Today, society is getting broader and more encouraging for everyone, especially females. They are
getting their lost voice and leaving their marks everywhere. This is the opportunity for everyone
out there to get back to what they always wanted to do.
Remember, the luxury to explore your old version doesn’t need a hefty bank balance, it just needs a
little motivation and that lies within you. You just have to see it within, every day!
Start with one thing at a time. Take your diary and pen, and jot down all the things that you ever
wanted to do, learn or explore. Treat it as your wish list. Set new goals with timelines attached to
them and start saving up for your hobbies.
The more you spend time thinking about these things, the more courage you’d develop to make it
happen. Do some research, look out for the hobby classes of your choice, or whatever your passion is
about. Take your sweet time to figure out your schedule and finally set a date from when you should
start!
You might not feel the same belongingness to your hobbies as before. But that is fine. With time
you’d realize the bliss of starting over, you’d get better at it or maybe not. How does it matter?
The aim is not to excel but to buy your own happiness. Giving yourself the love and importance you
need is a feeling that makes your life worth living.
You might be bounded by the shackles of society, age and career. Change the narrative and break them
all! Afterall, great examples in the world have inspired us that it’s never too late to start afresh
and that age is just a number.
You must have always thought that’d you pick up your hobby after your retirement but who knows
what’s going to happen tomorrow. So, dive into your world like there’s no tomorrow. Because, you
only live once!
