There is no exact “right moment” or a “single reason” to seek a counsellor. There could be a series of moments in life which could ask for an intervention from an objective source.
We all are unique and so our responses. Emotional and mental stress is not a mathematical ratio. Sometimes in life, we may just feel frustrated, tensed, pressurized, and pessimistic about certain unwanted situations. In situations like those, we start to stress out and think negatively. A pressurized stressed out mind is blind and therefore is capable of finding a solution. It becomes a situation of blind leads blind.
You want a way out or tackle a situation. Counselling here would work wonders. For it is always good to talk and share your problems. For one, it lightens your heart and relaxes you. The situations are overwhelming and you do not know your way out; Counsellor can handhold you to guide you and give a rational objective solution.
Still asking yourself, ‘do I need counselling?’ If you are not feeling at peace, if you are experiencing stress and anxiety that is overwhelming, you are feeling lost or just confused, you just sense that having someone to talk to could affect real change in your life, then now is the right time to work with a Counsellor.
If any of the above is correct then yes, it is time for counselling.
