The counsellor personally intervenes the issue by talking over it and may use some tests to ascertain the direction.
- Assessment of the requirement: – Firstly a client walk-ins, the first session being free, a counsellor would try to assess and understand the problem of a client, know their exact problem. The focus is totally on listening to what the client has to say and what solution should be given to them.
- Suggest the required test/session: – Secondly, after listening to his overall problem, test or sessions are suggested appropriate for them. Some cases involve where a client can be counselled only by talking and having a healthy conversation while some might need some test reports, especially for career counselling or self-awareness.
- Final counselling:- After the suggestion of desired options, final counselling is done wherein a client gets a clear picture or solution that a counsellor tries to deliver. Moreover, this is a final step where a counsellor would try his best to suggest possible solutions for them.
